We make this out to be pre WWII at the time when Japanese manufacturers were copying the Art Deco style of many English potteries including John Shaw and Sons Ltd. range of Burlington ware. They say that copying is a sincere form of flattery and these imitations are collectable in their own right. We don’t consider them to be forgeries but rather imitations.
