What we sell
We sell second hand used antiques and collectibles. Our items are in good to excellent condition but rarely in pristine or museum quality condition. Our prices reflect this. Please be aware that vintage items often have little manufacturing quirks that are rarely seen in today’s perfect production processes. We will draw your attention to any that we have seen.
Packaging & Postage
Delivery
We use Australia Post’s parcel service with tracking. We will post your item within 2 business days of us receiving your payment. We can combine purchases that are being posted to the same location – please contact us for any reductions in postage that we can squeeze in.
Payment
We offer Paypal services and direct deposit payments to our bank account upon request. We prefer direct deposits. Please use the contact form here if you want to pay by direct deposit and we will provide you with the bank details. When making the transfer be sure to reference the code number of the item. This is found on the item page. Thanks!
Returns & Exchanges Policy
If the item is not what you were expecting, no problem! You have 14 days from when you receive the tracked item to dispatch the item back to The Hariet Emporium, using the address on your invoice. Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. We will refund your money as soon as we have received the goods. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Damaged Goods
There is always a first time for goods to be damaged in transit. It hasn’t happened with our packaging procedure but if this happens with your order please contact us so we can work out how to refund or exchange your item.
What’s in the Box
Along with your carefully packaged goods you will receive a printed tax invoice with our ABN and details of our policy for returns.
Privacy Policy
When you visit our pages we do not collect your data.
We do not use cookies but WordPress might, please see their policies here.
When you buy an item from us we will ask for your name and contact details. We will keep this information on file for 7 days past the delivery of your item. Then we will delete all of your data.
If you subscribe to our newsletters we will keep your name and email on file unless you decide to unsubscribe at which time we will delete your name and email from our system.
If you leave feedback on our products and services we may use the feedback in our testimonial section but we will use location rather than your name on the attribution.
We will not sell or give away your data.

Integrity Statement
We sell second hand used goods from the 1980s to the 1850s.
The items will show some wear and tear – because, well they are old! We will describe any obvious age or manufacturing flaws for each item that we sell.
We strive for honesty in our dealings with you as we love vintage and antique goods as much as you do and we want to avoid any disappointments.
Communication is the key. Please let us know if you have any concerns on an item and prior to placing an order we can take extra photos and measurements for you.
